I have an expensive problem. I have a rat trap installed on my toilet sewer lines as rats get into my cavity wall via a break in the pipe. The main sewer line goes through my garden and the rat trap is installed in that manhole cover on the side branch to my downstairs toilet which is a meter away. That is the only manhole cover for my sewer line. Unfortunately the main sewer gets blocked regularly (every 3 months) under an extension two doors away which means Thames water has to rod the sewer from the manhole cover in my garden. When they see the rat flap on my sewer line they rip it out as they don't like rat flaps on sewer lines even if it's not the main line. How do I solve this issue? (I've had to buy and install 4 rat flaps in the last year. They don't just fall out as they are tied to the wall and also the sewer pipe enters a curved half clay pipe before entering the main sewer which is narrower than the sewage pipe which makes it very difficult to install as you have you hold the rat flap at a certain angle and apply some force to wriggle it into the sewer pipe).

I just caught a deer mouse or a field mouse in my house the other night in the attic I'm so p***** off because it chewed through my Foam/mesh From what I understand I haven't checked my Crawl space yet but I believe they're nesting under my above gr pool. And tunneled under my house which is less than 30 feet away. I also heard that carry a virus I've been using bait since I moved here . I live out in the countryy Oh and I do pest control for a living so that's also another reason why I'm so mad! Thank you for the video sorry for the long message..

We have rats in our garden and surrounding gardens, a pest control company placed poison boxes down for me about 6 weeks ago and they haven’t touched any of it! Is this because other neighbours are feeding birds? Do they always come from a sewer? We are a small town in countryside Many thanks

Hello, mind if I ask a question? The trap which I bought is same that you show at 9:20 mark (made in PRC) and first trap arming was very difficult and had to step on trap to arm it, but after first catch (in 36 h timespan), arming it the second time I was able to do it with hands. Does this "cheap" traps lose power in spring by time (so that's why they awful) and could I fix it by winding it more? I'm not professional catcher and this is only for my backyard in which, I assume, have 2-3 moles.

I have a rat that has been catching birds, quite big pretty vicious I have caged it in the drain ytird to use pliers to catch it by the tail and cage it. I caught it catching a dove by the tail but when it let the bird go I tried to bite me. Kept it over night in the drain trying to figure out how to catch it this morning it jumped at me once before made me scream that my neigbour asked if I was as OK 😅. Interesting channel thanks

Yep they chewed through my flexi pipe I replaced it with another and it didn’t even last the night. I replaced it with hard smooth plastic pipes. Fingers crossed it did the job.

I started watching your channel about 3 am after a night of scratching noises lol about to have work done which might put them for a bit then I’ll try & get you guys around to check the pipes , phone & broadband signal is a bit tricky here though to show you everything outside

Totally agree make sure you get a drain survey done by someone who understands rats the amount of jobs I’ve been to that have had a survey and they miss something obvious 😮
